October eLearning (Blackboard Vista) User Group Meeting Scheduled for Wednesday, 10/14, 10:00-12:00October 2, 2009
Instructional Technology Services (ITS) will host the first eLearning User Group Meeting for the fall semester on Wednesday, October 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Room 004 (basement level) of Heldenfels Hall. The discussion topic for this meeting will be emergency preparedness, especially in the context of continuing to teach courses in the event of natural disasters, severe weather, security threats, and roadway or service outages.
Learn how to ensure academic continuity before a situation requires you and your students to have to work and communicate off-campus. Presenters will provide overviews of teaching tools, such as the eLearning system, Camtasia screencasting editor, Centra webconferencing system, and Turnitin plagiarism-detection service, which you can use to stay in contact with your students and facilitate learning.
