Instructional Technology Services (ITS) will host the second Instructional Technology User Group Meeting for the spring semester on Thursday, April 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Room 004 (basement level) of Heldenfels Hall. Our Instructional Technology User Group Meetings expand the range of teaching and learning topics that we share with educators on campus.

The discussion topic for this meeting will be podcasting. Guest speaker Karen Berg, Assistant Director & Marketing Coordinator for the Continuing and Professional Studies Office, will discuss how her department produces and promotes their “Wired Study Tips,” which recently received a Silver Award (Interactive Marketing: Streaming/On-demand Content) in the National Marketing and Publications Awards competition sponsored by the University Continuing Education Association. The podcast series gained international recognition when it became the Number 1 world download on Apple’s iTunes U during December 2008. We encourage all instructors and staff on campus who currently produce podcasts—or those who may be just getting started with podcasting—to attend and share their experiences with the Texas A&M teaching community.

Register online or contact ITS at (979) 862-3977 or its@tamu.edu.
