Introduction to Second Life Event Moved to New Location

Due to positive response and to accommodate for more participants for our Introduction to Second Life demonstration, Instructional Technology Services (ITS) has moved the event to Rudder Tower Room 701. The date and time will remain the same: Thursday, July 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Second Life is the 3D virtual world that is becoming an emerging online teaching environment. All Texas A&M University faculty, teaching assistants, and instructional staff are invited to attend at no cost.

ITS staff will provide a brief, hands-on demonstration of Second Life. We encourage instructors on campus who currently use Second Life in their curriculum to attend and share experiences and examples with the Texas A&M teaching community. In addition, we will discuss coordinating future Second Life User Group Meetings and purchasing an area specifically for the university within Second Life.
